The Pioneer Coal Athletics Field is a 400m, 8 lane rubberized track and field complex complete with 4 horizontal jump pits, javelin runways, a discus & hammer throw cage, a shot put circle as well as a high jump and pole vault area. The facility is also equipped with washrooms on both levels, the D&L Landry canteen, an office space and a spectator viewing room/trainers room.

The facility is open from April until October for the community for walking, jogging and workouts.
